Spring Party in amazing Andalusia
How does a Spring Party in amazing Andalusia sound to you?
In my first blog, I told you about the salsa cruise I attended in Greece. But earlier this year, I also participated in Spring Party held in Fuengirola, Spain. It was a perfect spring break - a vacation in the sun including dancing, a match made in heaven for me.
Costa del Sol means finding not only outstanding beaches and over 300 days of sunshine but also beautiful landscapes and scenery. Each coastal town is rich in cultural heritage and tasty food.
Although I feared, I would get bothered by the touristic atmosphere and miss the authentic Spanish feeling, it actually proved to be wrong. Fuengirola is nowadays a vibrant, international town with a vast selection of tapas bars and restaurants and shopping opportunities. And you can find lots of amazing sceneries and culture once you step out of the touristic resorts.
For sunbathing it offers you seven kilometers of sandy beaches, Playa de la Carvajal being the most isolated one with its golden sand. Fuengirola is also a great choice with its excellent train and bus connections.
The dance course itself included a great variety of mainly Latin dance classes, both solo and couple, by top dance teachers. In addition, we had a lot of other activities, like parties, dinner in a Brazilian restaurant, beach days and voluntary excursions to nearby attractions. All is well organized and punctual. The event is held during Feria Internacional de los Pueblos, when Fuengirola is full of carnival feeling, dancing and other cultural and gastronomic festivities.
So if you love dancing and want to combine it to a holiday in the sun, check out the information about the Spring Party held end of April 2018. It is a great way of meeting new friends as well.
The Andalusians start to live at nightfall - something that I absolutely love. The cultural and festive calendar is full of activities. The Feria is a good example of that - I just love the amount of people that are out in the streets enjoying and having fun until the morning.
Anyone looking for busy nightlife will certainly find it - from bars and nightclubs of the coastal towns like Torremolinos and Fuengirola to more luxurious and bohochic nighclubs of Puerto Banus, in Marbella. Marbella offers also some great options for shopping with its huge shopping mall La CaƱada. Just make sure to have enough time, if you plan to go through all the shops. It was bigger than I remembered.
For more zen and charming moments opt for a daytrip to Mijas, famed for its traditional pueblos blancos, white towns. You just cannot get enough of its stunning views over the Mediterranean Sea.
Andalusia is truly fascinating with its diverse regions of contrasts and colorful, flourishing history and captivating oriental flavors in its architecture dating back to the Moorish rule.
Andalusia basically has all the things I love: beaches along Costa del Sol, mountains, historical cities and villages, rich culture and gastronomy. The sites, the people, and the overall experience make it unforgettable. Not to forget the possibility of dancing in the sun. Ready to book your flights?
