Coolest godmother

Image
My goddaughter Melissa usually calls me the coolest and wildest godmother. :D There may be many reasons for it but I think it is for the many (crazy?) ideas and interests that we share. We share same kind of views on many issues and we are also both passionate about dancing and traveling - so it has created a special bond between us. It is not all roses though; we have also had our differences, but it has just grown us closer. My goddaughter Melissa is a great source of energy and happiness for me - whenever I feel a bit down, just hanging around with her or talking to her brightens up my day enormously. We both have a same kind of sense of humor, so usually we end up laughing until our stomach hurts. This happens quite often, like when our names get spelled Sirta and Felisa in Athens. For me, being a godmother means making time for being together. Being the fun and cool godmother. Experiencing things together, traveling if possible. If you ask me, there is no better gift...

The Venetian escape

Image
In one of my blogs before Christmas I told that Venice during winter is on my travel list. Well, now I can tick the box since this year's first trip was to a Venetian escape during the carnival time. To be honest, I must say, I waited so much more of the carnival itself. The city was only active during daytime but once the sun went down, it was way too quiet, almost even dead to me. And of course you need to buy a masque of your own! The shops selling the hand-made masks are worth experiencing.  But Venice itself is an amazing place, something to experience at least once in a lifetime. The best way to explore it is by letting yourself get lost in it - then you will end up finding the most unique spots that you would never find in its most touristic areas. If you are looking...

Think big - your mindset is the key

Image
Once planning new adventures and making your dreams into reality, it is always helpful and healthy to look back and remember the past. Hopefully also learn something about it. Some of my last years dreams came true, some did not - some I might fulfill this year, some may be forgotten and archived forever. I have listed for myself three vital points to follow this year: Leave room for spontainity - I am open to possibilities, even though they might turn up in a wrong way to my life. I am conscious of my decisions and goals but I will not overdo or overreact.  I am going to THINK BIG and believe in myself. The truth is nobody knows you and your capabilities better than you. Your own mindset is the key.  I chose some pictures of my favorite moments and highlights from last year in Finland, Spain and Greece. Looking at them, I am confident that I am on the right path. <3
