Perfect city break options for winter

Image
Looking for great options for a city break during winter? I know I am. On the top of my own wish list is definitely to visit Venice during winter. Let's see if my dream comes true. December is a magical time to visit cities like Rome or Paris. I could never get tired of walking along the streets of Rome when the city is all lit up and decorated. My favorite areas to walk include the Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps), via del Corso, via dei Coronari, and Piazza Navona. I also enjoy just sitting outside in the heated terraces of the many cafés and restaurants.  The Italian food is always delicious but especially during Christmas time there are some special seasonal delicacies available. T he Vatican's Saint Peters square is one of the prettiest places to be during Christmas, especially its Nativity Scene is worth seeing. The winter sales in Rome begin sometime the first week in January - another good reason to visit the city during winter season. You...

Daydreaming about walking around Rome

Image
I absolutely love Rome, and at the moment I miss it terribly. Just few weeks ago someone asked me if I know what the letters of ROMA mean vice versa, I replied laughing: AMOR. That is what Rome is to me, love at first sight. I never get tired of walking around Rome. No matter how many times you visit it, it always shows a new side of itself. And my favorite time to pass by the Fontana di Trevi is during midnight. I prefer to enjoy Rome the same way the locals do, passing my time in its many bars, cafes and restaurants and just randomly walking around it. One of my all time favorite restaurants is Alla Rampa , kind of hidden in a corner of Piazza Mignanelli, just few steps away from Piazza di Spagna. The selection of antipasti is nice and tasty and I also love their risotto. Many locals visit the place, and that is why I as well ...

Flower printed boots

Image
This autumn the fashion magazines seem to be full of all kinds of boots, especially ankle boots and sock boots with maxi heel and bold prints. Actually, they were already trendy last autumn if you followed carefully for example Chanel's shoe collection. Since my feet are size 36,5, I usually find a perfect fit only among the Italian leather shoes. I also do love their long-lasting quality. But this autumn, I opted for the first time to buy shoes from Zara . I just fell in love with the cute high heel ankle boots with a floral print. They are a perfect match with a kimono, dress, skirt or jeans. I must say, I was positively surprised how well these Zara's boots fitted my feet and they even felt comfortable after wearing them for a longer time. But my absolute favorite boots are the hand-made Italian leather boots I bought from Rome. The rose pattern is so beautifully made and they just brighten up otherwise simple outfit so well. It is just a shame that the seas...
