5 top reasons to love Italy
People often ask me why I love Italy. I could list numerous reasons, but I chose five top reasons why I choose to travel back to Italy over and over again.
1. The infinite variety of amazing sceneries
The beauty of the country is astonishing. It is no wonder why many Italians prefer to stay in Italy for their holidays. I know I could do the same if living there.
The variety inside the country offers you countless possibilities with unique sceneries: the mountains, the lakes, the sea, the beaches, the hills, the lagoons, the islands, the numerous historical sites... I am always amazed how could man create so much beauty in one country.
2. The Italian sense of fashion and beauty
There is no other fashion country like Italy if you ask me. The people know how to dress up and they enjoy doing it. Just have a look at the shoes of an Italian man - the shoes are shining. Something you rarely experience in Finland, I must say.
The Italian women know how to wear high heels and dress to the occasion. The use of colors is sight to my eyes as well. Not to mention the kids - you are sure to find the most adorable children's clothing in Italy.
There is no other country where I pay so much attention into observing people's clothing and accessories as in Italy. You just cannot help admiring the pretty little details around you. It is the perfect place to fill both your head and luggage with the latest fashion trends.
3. Family unity
Every time I keep falling in love more and more with the Italian concept of family unity. The Italians love children and they show it. I really enjoy to see the restaurants filled with families in the evenings.
4. The rich cultural heritage and language
Italy is full of cultural heritage and the Italians are very proud of their history and culture. No matter in which corner of Italy you travel, it always has its unique cultural heritage with magnificent historical sites and monuments or pieces of art and music.
What comes to the Italian language - it is my favorite language. Phonetically I find it beautiful and I like its intonation. The different dialects add some challenge to it, making it fascinating. Whenever I hear Italian spoken, it gives me the feeling of kinship, almost like being at home.
5. Italian food and wine
Last but not least, there is nothing like the Italian cuisine. The taste of the simple ingredients is just amazing. Not to mention the healthfulness and freshness of the ingredients! The variety of food, depending on the region, is simply stunning. The best restaurants are filled with locals and you usually get a great meal with reasonable prices.
The Italian wines are my favorites. The country is optimally located for raising grape wines, and the great variety is truly worth exploring. The different regions give their own unique flavor to the wine production.
I could never refuse a glass of Italian Prosecco!
Have a nice weekend. Cin cin!
