Finland 100 years

Amazing isn't it that Finland, my home country, is already 100 years old. The actual celebrations were held on the Independence Day 6.12.2017. Helsinki, the capital, was full of celebrating people and the city was decorated with blue and white lights, the colors of the Finnish flag. 

It was also great to see how this special moment was noticed and celebrated worldwide in so many countries. My favorite was to see the Colosseum in Rome decorated with blue and white lights in the Italian tv.

Although I love traveling and could even see myself living in Italy or Spain, I am proud to be a Finnish citizen. It has an excellent education system which has provided me a good ground for my life. Finland is also still a relatively clean and safe country. Its nature is beautiful in its own unique way.

My favorite place in my home country will always be our summer house with its peaceful setting and sceneries. It is a place were I would always want to return no matter where my home is.
