Dancing salsa surrounded by the Greek islands

This year's vacay highlight was the Salsa & Fitness Cruise 2017 in the most beautiful setting - surrounded by the Aegean sea and the Greek islands. Absolutely amazing! This was the second Salsa & Fitness Cruise I attended. The cruise is organized by the dance schools & gyms mainly from Cyprus and Greece and also other countries.

I booked the tickets for me and my goddaughter Melissa through Caliente Dance Studio, in Cyprus. I can only admire how well all was once again organized by George and Dayana. They make the perfect hosts and guarantee you feel welcome and well attended throughout the whole trip.

If you love traveling and dancing especially the Afro-Caribbean dances like salsa, this is the cruise to be! It is the perfect combination of dance, sun and sea and a good way to explore a bit the Greek islands in a good company. The cruise had some 25 artists participating, 4 destinations, dance lessons and parties with live music.  Every day you get to dance with true professionals of Cuban dances and enjoy their amazing moves in the evening shows and parties. And even if you have never danced salsa before, this is a great occasion to learn, like it was for my goddaughter.

The best moment, in my opinion, was to see the talented Cuban dancers together on the stage. They are simply amazing, truly putting their soul into their performances. Whereas the Cypriots can benefit on Dayana’s classes in Larnaca, the Finns can enjoy two of these Cuban teacher-choreographers, since they teach in SalsaStudio dance studios in Finland.

This year, the cruise included stops in the bohochic island of Mykonos, ancient Efesos (in Turkey) as well as in the islands of Samos and Milos.

For a fashionista (like me), Mykonos is the absolute island to explore latest fashion trends and decoration details. Everything is so chic that you actually do not know what to look at. So I just let my eyes wonder around all the beauty! You are guaranteed to leave the island with some new fashion as well as design & decoration tips.

The absolute natural beauty of Milos and its Sarakiniko beach was just breathtaking. No words are enough to describe it. You need to experience it yourself.
