In my blog about Chania I promised to share my experiences also about Rethymno in Crete. Well, finally after the couple of hectic work weeks, I found some time for writing. I must say I absolutely loved the town with its small, clean alleys and historical buildings. Rethymno is actually a lot like Chania but a much more compact version of it. Since I love to treat myself with little luxuries, I opted to stay in Rimondi Boutique Hotels , in the heart of the old town of Rethymno. What a perfect choice it was! Among my best stays ever, and I have seen some pretty amazing 5-star hotels around the globe. Absolute serenity and privacy surrounded by old historical premises taking you back to the days of Renaissance - a unique balance between the old and the new.
