Think big - your mindset is the key

Image
Once planning new adventures and making your dreams into reality, it is always helpful and healthy to look back and remember the past. Hopefully also learn something about it. Some of my last years dreams came true, some did not - some I might fulfill this year, some may be forgotten and archived forever. I have listed for myself three vital points to follow this year: Leave room for spontainity - I am open to possibilities, even though they might turn up in a wrong way to my life. I am conscious of my decisions and goals but I will not overdo or overreact.  I am going to THINK BIG and believe in myself. The truth is nobody knows you and your capabilities better than you. Your own mindset is the key.  I chose some pictures of my favorite moments and highlights from last year in Finland, Spain and Greece. Looking at them, I am confident that I am on the right path. <3

Niyama Sol - Clothing love story

Image
I have absolutely fallen in love with Niyama Sol's clothing. I must say it was love at first sight after seeing the first pics in Instagram and I decided to order at once.  The delivery was fast, so I did not have to wait for long to open my first Niyama Sol package. What an excitement it was! It contained the Chalk Endless leggings and Ombre Knit Beanie in 50 shades of gray. Both perfect and super comfy!  There is also an important ecological factor related to these clothing items. Their manufacturing process turns recycled water bottles into these amazing clothing items. A brilliant and sustainable business concept I happily support. The material in the leggings is simply amazingly soft and comfortable. A dream come true. I have already enjoyed wearing both items while heading to my dance and yoga classes. They are perfect both for studio use as well as streetwear. Not to mention that the beanie is the first ever beanie I...

Friendship is a million little things

Image
On Wednesday I spent some quality time with my dear friend. We did not have anything planned, we decided spontaneously to hook up after work and enjoy some Nepalese cuisine. Since we both like to eat Nepalese food from time to time, it has become in a way a tradition to enjoy it once we meet. Since we both love to spice up our outfits with vintage and second hand items, we also headed to check out a local second hand store Relove in Helsinki. I ended up finding two pairs of shoes, both Spanish design. My friend found really cool gradient dyed grey jeans. To finish off our evening, we had a refreshing walk in the chilly winter weather of Helsinki enjoying the brilliant light installations of Lux Helsinki . The streets, buildings and squares were illuminated with the festival lights. Especially the installation of Helsinki Cathedral looked spectacular. The mixture of real lights and projections was simply a magical experience. Yet, the best t...

New beginnings - Welcome 2018

Image
Happy New Year! Hope it has started well for all of you. I have welcomed the 2018 with an open mind and I have a feeling that it will be much more positive and amazing than the past year was. Anyway, much has to do with your own attitude. After the New Year celebrations I have started dancing a lot more again. It feels great to enjoy the dancing as much as I once did. I also tried yin yoga and I loved it. It gives a nice balance to all the dancing, so I intend to continue the yoga class once a week. I am not a big fan of New Year's resolutions, but I have promised myself to realize some of my dreams. Anything I choose to do this year, will be linked to this in one way or another. Even with the smallest steps you can always move towards your goals. Life is an amazing journey and each day should be used to embrace it!
